Activity Objectives:
Identify the impact of climate change on weather-related disasters such as floods, drought, wildfire, and hurricanes. |
Describe the influence of climate change on disaster health communication and protective interventions for health risk communications, science denial, and behavioral effects of climate-related disasters. |
Assess the impact of climate change on health equity and identify key ethical guidelines for use in disasters and public health emergencies. |
Compare the overarching impact of climate change on public health and the medical response to disasters and large-scale emergencies. |
Target Audience: All Health Professionals who may have a role in Disaster Health, e.g., Nurses, Physicians, EMTs, Public Health Professionals, academic researchers, students, administrators of private and public enterprises involved in disaster response.

How to Obtain CE Credit
Participants can claim credit commensurate with participation and complete the evaluation online in order to earn credit hours and obtain a CE certificate. A link to the online evaluation system will be sent to all registered participants who attend the activity that will contain instructions and a personal ID number for access to the system. All online evaluations must be submitted by February 4, 2022, to receive continuing education credit for this activity.
