Disaster and Preventive Psychiatry: Protecting Health and Fostering Community Resilience is a FREE 9-module, interactive, 8 CME course accessible to anyone around the world. It focuses on public mental health principles in disasters, with modules on topics such as Leadership Consultation, Responder Wellbeing, Risk and Crisis Communication, among others. This is the only online, interactive course that covers the depth and breadth of this contemporary evidence-based content. The course will be of considerable value to a broad range of health disciplines, as well as public health professionals, disaster responders, and community leaders. Individuals can choose to complete all modules or select specific modules of interest. The course was developed by Joshua C. Morganstein, M.D., DFAPA, and James C. West, M.D., DFAPA in association with the American Psychiatric Association.
