Preparing Today's Health Leaders for the Crises of Tomorrow: The EDGHS Curriculum

SDMPH Mini-Conference Series

April 14 - May 1, 2022

Live Virtual Conference | Powered By Whova

The EDGHS Alliance is a multinational, multidisciplinary, collaborative network of universities, professional societies, scientific publishing, and healthcare-related partners. The Emergency Disaster Global Health Sciences (EDGHS) Certificate and affiliated Fellowship programs provide graduate and post-doctorate education and training to healthcare professionals preparing for expert-level leadership in academics, administrative, and operational roles to meet the unscheduled health and medical needs of people locally and globally. This effort was conceived during a multinational disaster training session in India in 2010.

For this forum, we are gathered to recognize the successful completion of the first fellowship program, celebrate the graduates, recognize those responsible, and offer this work as a nidus for all who have a vested interest in joining and helping prepare future leaders in disaster management.

  1. Documenting the Need—A Report from Ukraine by Kobi Peleg, PhD, MPH, Professor of Emergency and Disaster Management at Tel-Aviv University, former director of the Israel National Center for Trauma & Emergency Medicine Research
  2. The Malaysian Fellowship Experience
  3. Integrating Health Disciplines for The Future
